The mission of Bright Blessings is to bring joy, care and hope to homeless and impoverished children through the mobilization of community volunteers. Now in its 20th year of service, the nonprofit serves nearly 30,000 children annually across the greater-Charlotte community through its four core programs: Bless-A-Baby, Bless-A-Birthday, Gift of Literacy and Gift of Care.

John Cervantes, along with his wife, Amy, founded Bright Blessings in 2005, and Katrina Hayes has served as a longtime volunteer and supporter. Through Board of Directors leadership, advisory roles and financial support, John and Katrina continue to maintain close philanthropic ties with the organization, both personally and professionally.
